The Tipton Taliban - Mosam Begg a jihadist traitor in our midst.

**Now ever since the US picked up the three jihadist traitors known as the Tipton Taliban bearing arms against western troops out to liberate Afganistan from the head choppers of the Taliban, the bleeding hearts of the left have been howling at the moon over how these "innocents" were framed by the US and eventually our government caved in and brought these animals back from Club Gitmo where they were out of harms way.

Now though we have Moazzam Begg’s Enemy Combatant: A British Muslim’s Journey to Guantanamo and Back. Yes the jihadist has brought out a book and not a single call from the authorities about making money from terrorism or the proceeds of crime.

The Guardian - ever known for its love of all things Islam- acclaimed its “strikingly generous spirit”, “humour” and “insight”. The Independent reviewer said that after reading the work “all you want to do is welcome [the author] back, hug his book and punish his tormentors”. Mr Begg has attracted huge audiences to readings of his work at bookshops across the country. And the "dignified figure" he has cut has helped jolt the British Government, in the form of the Attorney-General, to demand the closure of the detention centre at Guantanamo.

By his own account, Mr Begg travelled to Lahore to visit a centre run by an organisation called Jamaat-e-Islami, which he describes as “Pakistan’s largest Islamic organisation and its third largest political party”. What the reader is not told is that Jamaat is a party dedicated to the creation of an Islamic state which its founder acknowledged would bear “a kind of resemblance to the Fascist and communist states”. Ah so now we are seeing another side to the Tipton Taliban.

After spending time in Lahore, Mr Begg then travelled with some of those he met at the Jamaat-e-Islami centre to a Mujahidin training camp in Afghanistan. As well as spending time in one camp run by Pakistanis, he visited another run by unidentified Arabs.

These were not the only occasions when Mr Begg spent time getting to know Islamist warriors. Again, by his own account, he made two visits to Bosnia in the early Nineties to “deliver aid”, where he spent some time at camps run by Islamist fighters. During his stay, he found that “most of the people in charge were Arabs”. Under their command were “Turks, Gambians, Pakistanis, French, Filipinos and Malaysians, as well as Bosnians and a strong influence from Saudi Arabia”. Mr Begg is open in his admiration for the fighters but explains that, after wrestling with the temptation to join them, he decided instead to return to Birmingham.

While working in the bookshop Mr Begg’s wanderlust did not desert him and he tried to travel to Chechnya to support friends there. He was disappointed not to be able to make it to the war-torn republic, but a few years later he moved, with his family, to an even more exotic location. The Beggs relocated to Taleban-run Afghanistan in the summer of 2001. Suppose its a change from a trip to Skegness.

So lets do a quick recap - he has admitted in his book to metting with Jamaat-e-Islami and then going to Afganistan - then under the control of the Taliban - to a terrorist training camp and another run by unidentified arabs. Gee hardly the innocent abroad as portrayed on all those sob stories we had on El Beeb each evening. Mind you as if that was not enough to question his loyalties to the West and the UK, he also went to Bosnia and met up with jihadists there as well. Have to say that Mr Begg has an unusual choice of holiday destinations to be fair.

Seems that the only mistake in this whole saga was letting this barbarian out of the cage that he had been put in by the US authorities.

That video is hillarious. What funny stuff!

Now for the post. What are the folks in charge of Gitmo thinking? This guy should never have been let out first of all. And allowing him to publish this book just makes a mockery of the US and it's coalition in the war on terror. Also allowing him to profit from his jihadi experiences is stupid. He should be re-arrested, re-jailed, and tried and punishes! No questions asked.

The book is an admission of guilt.

Alas we are to soft - or rather our New Labour leaders are to arrest the jihadists and hate mongers of Islam.

Glad you liked the video, check out the silly bits section on the side for more laughter.

What a joke, I couldn't care less if he wrote a book. I think if he catches a bullet in the head it will be a waste of a good bullet.

Wow. I can't believe what a racist, prejudice bunch of people visit this site. How would you feel if you were innocent and you were detained and tortured. Hey guess what people? If the U.S. truly thought he was guilty they would have tried him in court, but guess what?!?!? there was no evidence! otherwise I'm PRETTY fricken sure that they would have tried him in a LEGAL court. (btw torture IS illegal even if it occurs in some bull$%^# camp in another country.

Sarah, first off check out Begg's wikipedia page.

He has been involved in jihadist politics for a long long time.

Secondly we only have his word, the word of a proven liar, a jihadist, a terrorist that he was tortured.

Thirdly the government of Pakistan passed on evidence to both the UK and the US, our government was pressured by media coverage to get the poor darling back home.
